Дерматоміозит — системне аутоімунне захворювання з ураженням поперечносмугастих м'язів та шкірних проявів. Характерні ознаки: дистрофія м'язів, перivasculарний лімфоцитарний інфільтрат, кальцифікати, вторинні склеротичні зміни внутрішніх органів. Ценкерівський некроз при черевному тифі має іншу морфологію (коagulation necrosis), а звичайний міозит не супроводжується системними склеротичними змінами.
